WHAT HAVE WE BEEN UPTO?...
WATER PLAY-
FLOATING, SINKING, MOVING
The children enjoyed exploring water, testing what floats and sinks while observing how water moves.
WORLD BOOK DAY 2026
The children drew round their bodies and using mirrors and a veriety of art supplies, then used their imagination with a pinch of inspiration to express themselves.
We Celebrated Valentines day outdoors with a themed mud kitchen where children could follow recipes suck as rose petal tea, cupids cupcakes and Love potions. The children scooped, mixed, poured and picked their ingredients.
We had a flipping great time celebrating Shrove Tuesday. The children explored toppings, used their motor skills to squeeze fruits and flipped the pancakes.
We’ve recently been out in our local park working alongside the Parish Gardeners to plant new trees, helping to support and care for our community environment. The children were fully involved, learning how trees grow and why they are so important for wildlife, clean air and our future.
This week we’ve been spending some lovely time out in the garden, learning all about our local birds. We’ve been watching, listening and talking about the different birds we can see and hear, and discussing how important it is to look after them — especially at this time of year when food can be harder to find.
Samaritans shoe box appeal
We learnt all about families around the world and how everyone is different and special in their own way. We talked about how some children live in places where life can be very hard, and how some might not get any presents at Christmas. To help make a difference, we decided to join the Samaritans Shoebox Appeal. The children really enjoyed choosing small gifts, toys, and useful items to pack into the boxes. It was a lovely way to show kindness and to think about others at Christmas time.
